Invitation to Bid-Renovations for Lowry City Civic Center

Separate sealed bids for the renovation of the Lowry City Civic Center will be received at Lowry City, City Hall, PO Box 143, 406 W 4th Street, Lowry City, MO 64763 until 10 o’clock A.M. CST Wednesday April 8th, 2020, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
The Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the following: KC Blueprint & Planroom website:  Copies may be obtained at the office of Lowry City City Hall located at 406 W 4th Street, Lowry City, Missouri 64763 upon payment of $25 for each set. Any unsuccessful bidder, upon returning such set promptly and in good condition, will be refunded his payment, and any non-bidder upon so returning such a set will be refunded $ 25.
The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with his bid security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and Davis Bacon and/or State Prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract, Segregated Facility, Section 109, and E.O. 11246. MBE, WBE and Section 3-DBE bidders are encouraged to bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
A pre-bid meeting will be on Tuesday March 24th at 10 A.M. CST at Lowry City City Hall 406 W 4th Street, Lowry City, Missouri 64763.
Effective January 1, 2009, and pursuant to RSMo 285.530 (1), No business entity or employer shall knowingly employ, hire for employment, or continue to employ an unauthorized alien to perform work within the state of Missouri. The successful bidder must submit a sworn affidavit and documentation affirming the business entity’s enrollment and participation in the federal work authorization program and that all of its employees working for the contracted services are not illegal immigrants.
Upon signing the contract, the successful contractor and any subcontractor performing the work shall provide a ten-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program for their on-site employees.
